How To Inject Joy Into Your Post-Christmas Office

The New Year is almost upon us and if you haven’t already, it’s time to start thinking about what 2016 will bring. It can be a trying time for shops and offices in January, after the joy of Christmas has passed and January presents itself with cold and wintry weather and a feeling of doom and gloom.

Don’t despair! Here are some simple ways to inject hope into your commercial interiors.

  1. Replace the tree

If you’ve had a Christmas tree or decorations in your business over the festive period, don’t just remove them and leave a sad, empty space. Instead, consider replacing your Christmas decorations with something equally aesthetically pleasing that breathes life into your business. An exotic indoor plant can create interest, or a vase of fresh flowers.

2. Create a resolutions board

We’re all about making resolutions in our personal life, but why not suggest to your employees that this year they make a work resolution too. Give your employees something to work towards and strive for – and display it on a board – whether it’s reaching a specific target or achieving an industry award.

3. Out with the old

Every workplace needs a clear out from time to time and the start of the New Year is a great time to get things in order and chuck the junk that accumulates as the year goes by. You might even wish to give your office a deep clean from top to toe – or hire someone to do it for you.

As we approach the start of 2016, we’d like to wish your business all the best from the team at Hannah Barnes Designs – Happy New Year, we hope it’s a good one!
